Advocacy

Overview of what advocacy is...

  • Advocacy helps you understand your rights.
  • Advocacy helps you explore the options available to you.
  • Advocacy can't and won't tell you what to do, it's your choice.
  • Advocacy will support you once you make your decision to have your choices listened to.

When and why might you need an advocate?

  • If you need help understanding your rights and how to access them.
  • If situation feels out of your control and you need support.
  • If you don't feel listened to, or you feel that others speak on your behalf without your agreement.

Our Advocacy Service is currently only available to people living in certain areas, or with certain disabilities.  Please see the options below.  You can also find out about our Employment Advocacy service on this page.
