Policy is any plan, legislation, or idea that might impact on the lives of disabled people. So for example, a change in social security policy by the government would be an important policy to influence. Disability strategies and plans are other areas of policy that are important to inform. There are lots of policies developed by government and others that could impact on the lives of disabled people. We try and inform these in different ways. Unfortunately we don’t have enough people to do look at every policy so we have policy priorities.
These are the policy areas that we think are the most important. We can’t do everything so we have to prioritise the issues we are working on. Read more
