Join the Mid and East Antrim Disability Lived Experience Group The Mid & East Antrim Borough Council is looking for up to 15 people to join its new Disability Lived Experience Group, helping to shape Council services and support a more inclusive Borough. About the Group The Disability Lived Experience Group will give disabled people and people with lived experience the opportunity to share their views, highlight barriers they face and help improve how Council services are designed and delivered. Members will work with Council officers and Elected Members to ensure disabled people's voices are heard and considered when developing services and engaging with local communities. Who can apply? You can apply if you: Are aged 18 or over. Live within the Mid and East Antrim Borough. Have lived experience of disability. Can commit to attending meetings and contributing to the work of the group.Reasonable adjustments are available to support members throughout the application process and while taking part in the group. Reasonable travel and other out-of-pocket expenses will also be reimbursed. What will members do? Members will: Attend Disability Lived Experience Group meetings. Share their experiences and perspectives. Contribute to consultation responses and Council documents. Attend relevant meetings and events where appropriate.
