Our report 'The impact of COVID-19 on disabled people in NI' indicates that 4% (15) of respondents had lost their job as a result of the pandemic, with 28 raising concerns about the future stability of their employment.

We are respectfully calling on the Ministers for Communities and Economy to ensure that emergency/forward planning, in respect of Employment and Training supports during and post COVID, are done in partnership with disabled people and their organisations.

Ensuring job opportunities, job retention and job progression in the new COVID-19 landscape will require highly specialised solutions which must reflect the unique challenges disabled people are facing.

If you have lost your job due to COVID-19 contact our Job Match team who may be able to help. Job Match works with local employers, of all sizes, to help disabled people get paid work.
