Who we are Management In memory of Board Member William (Bill) Riddall 01.04.2021 Last Friday, 26th March, we were saddened with the news of the passing of our Board Member Bill Riddall. Bill became a member of Disability Action’s Board of Directors in October 2011 and has been a stalwart of support for this organisation since then.As a tetraplegic wheelchair user, Bill was committed to the integration of disabled people into all aspects of political and social life in Northern Ireland - promoting independent living and improving arts access. He was involved in UK disability rights campaigns, was a board member of a number of UK charities in the arts and disability and also the Treasurer of Centre for Independent Living NI. Andrea Brown, Disability Action's Chief Executive (Interim) said: Bill will be remembered for his wit and straight talking at Disability Action's Board meetings. His commitment to disability rights goes without saying; if you met him you knew where he stood, but his personal belief and support for the work of Disability Action was unwavering. He was challenging and supportive, funny and uplifting, a gentleman and will be sorely missed by us all. Thank you Bill. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill's family and friends.
