Miriam Bacon, our Workable NI/Employment Support Scheme Manager, has secured a new and exciting venture and, after 22 years, is moving on to pastures new next week.

Miriam is a valued and well thought of member of staff and over the years has made a huge impact at Disability Action by supporting disabled people and their employers in the workplace.

Karen Smith, Miriam’s Line Manager said:

Miriam has been such a key part of Disability Action and the Employment & Training Team for such a long time, working with passion and commitment to promote the employment rights of disabled people in all types of paid roles with all types and sizes of employer. We will all miss her very much.

Gillian Rainey will take over full management responsibility for Workable NI and Colin Downey will step up to manage the Employment Support Programme.

The entire Disability Action team wish Miriam every success for the future.
