Why members are important Disability Action has always been a membership organisation and it is very important when working to influence that we have the support of a strong and diverse membership. Our Board of Directors are nominated by our members. This means that that the members have responsibility for the governance of the organisation at the highest level. Disability Action can't do everything and can't be everywhere. By working with our members we make sure that the voice of disabled people, from across Northern Ireland, is listened to and heard. Through our members we hear about what the important issues are, and how we need to work to address these. Membership is a two way relationship - it's about what we can offer you, but also what you can bring to the organisation and ultimately achieving rights for disabled people in Northern Ireland.
