Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Week is happening from 7th - 11th February 2022. The annual week-long celebration, led by the Department for the Economy, aims to highlight the important role played by apprenticeships across Northern Ireland by bringing together partners including local councils, employers, universities, further education colleges and private training providers.

Disability Action is participating in Apprenticeships Week by holding an online webinar on 'Inclusive apprenticeships – A Path to Careers for Disabled People'.

Dates

There will be two opportunities to take part in the event via MS Teams:

Tuesday 8 February at 2pm to 3pm

Thursday 10 February at 11am to 12noon

Who should register for the event?

Employers seeking a pipeline of diverse, untapped talent or a disabled person interested in finding out more about apprenticeships.

Disabled people looking for a different way to pursue their career.

At the event you will:

  • listen to the experiences of individuals who have been through an Apprenticeship
  • learn about the services that support individuals with disability in their Apprenticeships
  • hear key-note speakers from the manufacturing sector and training providers
  • receive advice on apprenticeship routes directly from employers
