Industry Insight Session with BBC NI and Job Match

On Thursday 1 April from 11am to 12:30pm, in celebration of World Autism Awareness Week, BBC Northern Ireland in partnership with Disability Action’s Job Match team, are hosting an industry insight session for people who are neurodiverse and who are interested in careers in the media.

Not only will you have the chance to ask questions and meet BBC staff in a safe space, designed with you in mind, you will also learn about:

the different career paths and ways into the BBC
recruitment advice and tips
our latest trainee schemes
the range of support available

The Civic Initiative

The Civic Initiative is examining socioeconomic rights under the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. They have four stages of public participation and offer travel reimbursement for those in the Republic of Ireland border counties. The project covers various topics and is funded by the International Fund for Ireland.

The Trussell Trust calls for evidence for an ambitious research project to better understand disabled people’s experiences of the social security system and the drivers behind the overrepresentation of disabled people being referred to food banks. This includes a comparative analysis of disabled people’s experiences of claiming Adult Disability Payments in Scotland, and Personal Independence Payments across the rest of the UK.
