As the way we work and recruit new employees has changed due to COVID-19, the Job Match team are very aware that some participants may need to upskill to adapt to the new online recruitment environment, help them succeed at interview and maximise their chance at securing employment.

With this in mind Job Match Employer Engagement Officer Tommy Cairns and Supported Employment Officer Laura Loane recently ran a workshop and mock interview sessions via zoom for Job Match participants. The workshop had 3 key themes: Setting up an online interview, Interview preparation & interview skills. This was followed up a week later with mock interview sessions with participants based on what they had learned in the previous workshop.

Feedback from participants has been very positive, and participants now feel more confident and better equipped to attend online interviews in the future. 

Our Job Match team work with employers to recruit disabled people and also with disabled people to help them find paid work.
