Heather Logan, Job Match Supported Employment Officer, recently delivered two Disability Awareness Workshops to *PIPS Charity during which participants were encouraged to think differently about disability, got a better understanding of the impact of society on disabled people and learned about the rights of disabled people.

Over 45 participants attended the one hour introductory online zoom sessions which were participative and interactive and provided a great platform to gain some knowledge, network and share experiences with others.

Participants commented:

A refresher on legislation has been great to keep me mindful, and education on acceptable terminology has helped my confidence when discussing these concerns.

Really enjoyed the training and especially having someone speaking who I learned a lot from.

Excellent reminder of legislation of how we think.

Excellent session and great Trainer with a lovely piece from Marc the Service User.

Thanks Heather, really useful presentation.
