Last week our Job Match team held another Job Preparation Workshop with Guest Speaker Alison Long, Senior HR/OD Advisor at Belfast City Council, who provided valuable advice on CV development, completing job applications and interview confidence and skills to 14 Job Match participants.

These workshops are hosted by our Job Match Employment Engagement Officers, Michael Moore and Tommy Cairns who work directly with motivated, skilled and experienced disabled people and in partnership with employers about specific posts.

"The value of employer input cannot be underestimated, as it provides a “human” side to large companies and organisations," says Michael Moore. "This helps our participants feel more confident when applying for jobs and gives them great insight into the many different roles an employer has to offer."

Job Match is Disability Action’s flagship employability programme which supports disabled people to find employment and is delivered by our team of Supported Employment Officers and Employment Engagement Officers across Northern Ireland.

In our next workshop scheduled for Thursday 1 April we will be joined by a Guest Speaker from BBC NI.

We would love to hear from employers who wish to participate in future workshops with us.  If this is of interest contact one of our Job Match Employment Engagement Officers to find out more:
