As many of us will be getting back in the car again after a long time shielding and not driving, it's important that both your car is roadworthy and that you are physically and mentally ready.

We previously developed four bulletins for Older Drivers, in partnership with the Old Drivers Forum, which we could all take a few tips from.

You can click here to read our Older Drivers bulletinsBulletin 2 sets out various ways of keeping physically and mentally attuned to take to the roads again. Bulletin 3 considers personal and car preparation before getting back behind the wheel.

Regular maintenance of your vehicle is essential to help ensure that it is roadworthy, safe to drive or ride, fuel-efficient, less polluting and not a danger to passengers, pedestrians and other road users.  Further information on vehicle maintenance can be found on NI Direct website.
