Today we tell the story of Deaf Action based in Edinburgh who received funding from the DPO COVID-19 NET Emergency Fund led by Disability Action NI in partnership with Disability Wales, Inclusion Scotland and Inclusion London.

In the video below Deaf Action tells us:

We see DPOs as being critical to working towards a fairer society for all. There are so many examples of decision making which did not take account of the needs of deaf people, facemasks being an obvious example. Without the vital work of DPOs we risk creating a more divided society where the needs of the most vulnerable are overlooked.
