Volunteer Now have recently published a new piece of research in partnership with the Mobilising Voluntary Action Group (Read it here) which investigated the impact of COVID-19 on the Voluntary & Community Sector, and on volunteering in general.

This event will explore the impact of COVID-19 on d/Deaf and Disabled Volunteers and consider next steps.

The Civic Initiative is examining socioeconomic rights under the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. They have four stages of public participation and offer travel reimbursement for those in the Republic of Ireland border counties. The project covers various topics and is funded by the International Fund for Ireland.
Exploring the need for food banks for disabled people – a call for evidence

The Trussell Trust calls for evidence for an ambitious research project to better understand disabled people’s experiences of the social security system and the drivers behind the overrepresentation of disabled people being referred to food banks. This includes a comparative analysis of disabled people’s experiences of claiming Adult Disability Payments in Scotland, and Personal Independence Payments across the rest of the UK.
