Ofcom wish to appoint up to four Members to the Advisory Committee for Northern Ireland with starting dates in the Autumn of 2021.

Ofcom is the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries, with responsibilities across television, radio, postal services, telecoms, and wireless communications services. They have recently taken on the regulation of video-sharing platforms, and are preparing for a broader role protecting people from online harms under the Government’s proposed online harms regime.

Members of the Advisory Committee provide advice to Ofcom about the interests and opinions of people living in Northern Ireland, therefore it is vital that the Committee reflects its range of diverse areas and communities. Ofcom welcome applications varying in experience, backgrounds, and industry knowledge. We want to speak to passionate people who want to contribute to shaping Ofcom’s exciting future portfolio of work.

The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Wednesday 14 April 2021.
