Help secure training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

Harry’s Place is a new facility, on High Street Ballynahinch, that will host a range of facilities and services to empower those with a Learning Disability, socially, creatively, economically, sustainably in a safe and encouraging environment within the local community.

Harry’s place will have a Zero Waste shop, Café, and catering production enterprise along with a social hub to provide economic and creative development opportunities for adults with Learning Disabilities.  You may already be familiar with some of their existing services – Harry’s Mates and The Little Bearded Bakery. These successful initiatives will form the backbone of their new centre.

This week Claire Greene, one of our Workable NI Employment & Training Officers, visited the team in Harry’s Place to find out more and to look at ways Disability Action can work with Harry’s Place on securing training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

Can you support Harry's Place with their fundraising to make this facility a reality? With your support Harry’s Place can truly make a difference to the lives of those adults with a learning disability who live locally.
