Disability Action have joined over 50 Civil Society Organisations in signing an open letter calling upon the UK Prime Minister for a one-off extension to the Brexit transition period.

Disability Action believe an extension is vital to ensuring our community, sector and wider society have the time to adapt to the many changes that will arise from Brexit.  

Extending the transition period will provide a crucial lifeline for the many third sector organisations in Northern Ireland who have been serving on the frontline of the COVID-19 crisis. As a result of the pandemic many of these organisations are now struggling to survive.
