Whilst our Disability Action Transport Scheme (DATS) service and our Rural Transport Partnerships provide transport assistance for disabled or vulnerable people, we also have been assisting local organisations during the pandemic.

One of our partners, Fermanagh Community Transport, recently stepped in to deliver food hampers to residents throughout County Fermanagh on behalf of Rural Housing Association who were awarded funding through Fermanagh Omagh District Council for their COVID-19 Food Support initiative, which has been running across the council area over the winter months.

The initiative supported over 80 families in the Fermanagh Omagh District Council Area, who all had a fresh food hamper delivered containing fresh fruit, vegetables and meat all designed to help tenants cook nutritious meals in their own homes during lockdown.

DATS and our local partners have been working hard throughout the pandemic to support rural residents through the delivery of food shopping, prescriptions and transporting residents to COVID-19 vaccination appointments. If need transport assistance call our team on 028 9029 7870 between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
