The All-Party Group on Disability has launched a Call for Evidence on the Impact of the Health Emergency on Deaf and Disabled People.

Purpose
The purpose of the Call for Evidence is to:

  • To identify the impact of the current health emergency on deaf and disabled people.
  • To ensure that deaf and disabled people’s voices and experiences are heard by decision-makers.

To develop a case for change developed by deaf and disabled people for deaf and disabled people.

Who can respond?

Deaf and disabled people, carers, family members, representative organisations and interested parties are welcome to respond.


How can I respond?

Please respond in the way that works best for you. Written submissions, videos, pictures, Easy-Read, sound files and voice notes are welcome.

Questions to consider:

  • Have you or the people you represent experienced barriers in accessing healthcare? Please tell us more about the kind of barriers you or the people you represent have experienced and the impacts experienced.
  • Have you or the people your represent any ideas or proposals of how healthcare can be improved?
  • Have you or the people you represent been able to access social care when you need it? Please tell us about your experience?
  • Have you or the people your represent any ideas or proposals of how healthcare can be improved?
  • What are your views of the impact of the cost of living emergency on accessing health and social care?
  • What steps can be taken to protect independent living.
