RNIB Northern Ireland and Guide Dogs NI have been working together to develop an advice document for blind and partially sighted people who are offline.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing additional challenges for blind and partially sighted people in Northern Ireland. These challenges can be particularly acute for those unable to access vital information and services online.

The document is designed to provide information on sources of information and support during the current pandemic. It has been developed in conjunction with the Department of Health, the Health and Social Care Board and the Department for Communities.

Both organisations are aware that these individuals are often harder to reach, and they may also in many cases, be among the most vulnerable in our society. This makes their need to receive support information and public health guidance, even more vital.
