Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: July 2026

Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Disability Action, accessibility and inclusion are fundamental to who we are. Our work is informed by the Social Model of Disability, which recognises that people are disabled by barriers in society, rather than by their impairment or health condition alone. These barriers can be physical, digital, organisational or attitudinal.
We are committed to identifying and removing barriers that may prevent disabled people from accessing information, services and opportunities through our website and digital services.

Nothing About Us Without Us is a principle that guides our work. We actively seek feedback from disabled people and people with lived experience to help shape and improve our website and digital services.

This accessibility statement applies to www.disabilityaction.org.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time exercise.

As an organisation that advocates for the rights of disabled people, we recognise our responsibility to lead by example and continually improve the accessibility of our digital services. We regularly review our website and digital content and welcome ongoing feedback from disabled people, service users, supporters and members of the wider community.

Compliance Status

We are committed to working towards compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard.

Our website is regularly reviewed as part of ongoing development and content management processes. Accessibility considerations are incorporated into website design, content creation and future enhancements.

Where accessibility issues are identified, we aim to address them as quickly as possible and prioritise improvements that remove barriers for disabled users.

While we strive to achieve a high level of accessibility across all areas of the website, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are committed to ongoing monitoring and improvement to ensure the website remains inclusive and accessible to all users.
