The Motability Scheme

We are delighted that once again alongside the Disability Exhibition taking place on the 1st and 2nd June, the Motability Scheme will also be hosting ‘The Big Event’ on the same dates.  Two days, two great events, all in the one place – Eikon Exhibition Centre, Lisburn.

The Big Event

This free, two day event provides the perfect opportunity to discover everything you need to know about worry-free motoring with Motability. What's at The Big Event?

The Big Event will showcase a wide range of vehicles available through the Motability Scheme, including:

  • Around 40 cars from 18 different manufacturers
  • Around 20 scooters and powered wheelchairs
  • Adaptations from a wide range of adaptation companies
  • A wide range of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles

A full list of all the vehicles  on display will be available online at approximately one month before the event.

At The Big Event you can also:

  • Test drive adapted and non-adapted cars
  • Chat to our Motability Scheme advisors who will be on hand to answer your questions
  • Meet our Scheme partners - Kwik Fit, RAC and RSA Motability
  • Get advice from The Forum of Mobility Centres and Disabled Motoring UK

Plus, there's:

  • A free hot or cold drink for every visitor.
  • Free parking
  • Children's entertainment, including Billy the Bear!
  • A chance to win an iPad mini in our free prize draw

Eikon Exhibition Centre

The Eikon Exhibition Centre is the largest venue for exhibitions and events in Northern Ireland.

Since opening in November 2015, the venue has hosted a diverse range of events and welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, including the Disability Exhibitions in 2016 and 2018. 

The Eikon Exhibition Centre endeavours to ensure their venue is fully accessible to all guests, complies with all current legal requirements and would be delighted to assist with any additional enquiries you may have.

The venue has a number of dedicated accessible car parking spaces available on a first come, first served basis and this is extended for the Disability Exhibition.

Currently there are 8 disabled restrooms inside Eikon Exhibition Centre. For other outdoor events, external disabled restrooms may be available. The venue also comes fitted with a Medical Room should you become unwell during your visit. Please contact the nearest member of staff should you feel unwell.
