We are a Northern Ireland wide pan disability organisation working with disabled people with various disabilities; physical, mental, sensory, learning and hidden. Disability Action wishes to appoint for the following position: Supported Employment Officer (Ref SEO2020) Contract: Part Time (20 hours) Duration: 1 Year Fixed Term contract until March 2022 Salary: £27,488 calculated on a pro rata basis. Location: Dungannon The Employment & Training Services Unit offers a range of services to support people with disabilities to participate in mainstream training, to access employment, and to achieve career progression. The Job Match project is a partnership between Disability Action the Department for Communities (DFC) and the Northern Ireland Union of Support Employment (NIUSE). It uses a Supported Employment approach to help achieve one of the key targets within the DES ‘Employment and Skills Strategy for People with Disabilities’. People with disabilities across Northern Ireland can access a tailored job brokerage service offering mentoring, job search and one-to-one intensive support to find sustainable, paid employment.
