Congratulations to Job Match participant Katrina Kelly (centre) who has started her new job with Teenie Weenies Daycare Nursery in Newry.

Supported by SEO Colin McElroy, Katrina has quickly settled in and, as with all staff, has been made feel very welcome.

For her job progression, Katrina will now be studying to complete her Childcare Level 3 qualification to maintain the high level of care provided.

This is a great result for Job Match and Katrina - and having a great employer promoting the Employing People with Disabilities Guide has also been a very positive outcome.

Established in 2017, Teenie Weenies can care for up to 92 children aged between 12 weeks old up to 12 years old in their after school club.

The Trussell Trust calls for evidence for an ambitious research project to better understand disabled people’s experiences of the social security system and the drivers behind the overrepresentation of disabled people being referred to food banks. This includes a comparative analysis of disabled people’s experiences of claiming Adult Disability Payments in Scotland, and Personal Independence Payments across the rest of the UK.
