During this challenging COVID-19 period, the Job Match team is providing our services remotely to participants, via one-one meetings via Zoom and phone calls, and face to face meetings on a priority basis, to ensure continuity of service and to support disabled people.

Employing disabled people makes good business sense

By opening up opportunities to disabled people you can:

  • Enhance diversity and skills
  • Build capacity
  • Connect to a wider recruitment pool

Our team will engage with you to guide you through the recruitment process and help to find the right candidate in your local area.

What can Job Match do for Employers?

Our Job Match team can help employers with:

  • Recruitment Planning
  • Finding Candidates
  • Advice on support on reasonable adjustments of the recruitment and selection process
  • Ongoing support for you and your new employee

How does Job Match work?

We have people dedicated to working with local employers across Northern Ireland. Our local Employment Engagement Officers will get to know you and your business and work in partnership with you. Our 'Employing People with Disabilities - A Positive Action Guide for Employers' brochure is a useful reference.

The five step recruitment guide has been designed to help employers to match the right people with the right jobs, achieving positive outcomes for everyone. This recruitment model guides employers through each step of the process, whether you are employing one person or planning a large recruitment exercise. The model has been used successfully by employers including Belfast City Council, Premier Inn, Fitzers and Queen's University Belfast to recruit disabled employees.

"It’s reassuring to know there is support on hand to make sure we are doing everything we can to make work a great experience for Micheal to be.

The wrap around supports for Micheal and Mount Charles through Job Match and Workable NI are so reassuring and helped make this process really positive." Comments from Mount Charles Catering. Read the full story.
