Since March Interior Painter Paul Hawthorne has been supported by Marty McLoughlin, Job Match Supported Employment Officer; they have been working together to build an online profile for his business.

Paul enrolled with Job Match in March 2020 after speaking with a member of our team at a Health & Wellbeing event in his local Jobs and Benefits office.

An Interior Painter with a reputation for being very skilled and talented, Paul likes to keep busy and is very passionate about his work. However, COVID-19 has been particularly hard on tradespeople who work in people’s homes and Paul was no exception. Paul has seen offers of work cease completely, as people naturally have concerns for inviting people into their homes to complete work.

Since March Paul and Marty have been working together to build an online profile for his business. Together they recognised that establishing a strong online presence for Paul, as a local business owner, has never been more important and this was an area in which he'd been sorely lacking.

Since receiving support from Job Match to create eye-catching graphics and strategically spreading the word about his services, Paul has engaged with hundreds of customers and has been receiving rave reviews.

Paul is very satisfied with the support he received from Job Match and is now excited to resume the IT training he had been receiving from the Atlas Centre before it was suspended in March/April due to COVID-19. This training in September/October will give him the skills he needs to independently manage his social media platform effectively.
