Disability Employment: Disabled people should be considered for their skills and abilities rather than on their disability

Karen Smith, our Head of Contracted Services, participated in the recent Pharmacy Forum webinar and spoke about Disability employment: creating a more inclusive pharmacy workforce. 

Karen noted that hiring and providing opportunities for disabled people can help to reduce barriers.

Disabled people should be considered for their skills and abilities rather than being judged solely on their disability. Establishing a disability workplace champion within organisations can help provide visibility and reduced stigmatisation.
