Our Job Match team recently held a workshop for disabled people interested in applying for NI Civil Service (NICS) Executive Officer 1 & 2 roles to inform them of the in-work support services NICS and Disability Action's Job Match and Workable NI teams can provide.

The workshop focussed on the online assessments which form part of the NICS Executive Officer roles recruitment process and aimed to upskill participants to give them the confidence and knowledge to apply for these roles and progress to interview.

Participants commented:

I really enjoyed the workshop and found it the best training I have attended for some time.

Very informative and has given me more confidence in completing the assessments.

NICS ensures all applicants have the opportunity to perform to the best of their ability. They will consider all requests for reasonable adjustments in accordance with their obligations under Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1995 to complete any of the assessments.

As young people (people under the age of 35), disabled people and people from minority ethnic communities are currently under represented in NICS, they would particularly welcome applications from these groups.
