Do you live in Northern Ireland and have a disability, or care for someone who does? If so, the Independent Living Fund wants to hear from you!

On behalf of the Department of Health NI, the Independent Living Fund (ILF) provides financial support to disabled people in Northern Ireland with over 430 people currently receiving ILF support to help them live independently in their homes and communities. Unfortunately in 2010, the fund was closed to new recipients, therefore people could no longer apply for and avail of such funding.

The Department of Health NI is exploring the possibility of re-opening the fund in Northern Ireland. ILF Scotland is helping with this important exploratory work and to help us do this effectively, we need disabled people, ILF recipients, family, friends, personal assistants and Disabled Persons Organisations to complete an online survey to tell us what they think about the support available to them.

Share your thoughts on the possibility of re-opening the fund in Northern Ireland by filling in the online survey before 17th June 2020.
