Do you have a disability and are unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week? If so you could apply to participate in the Belfast Employment Academies - which provide free training with a guaranteed interview for anyone that completes the programme.

You can find out more by attending the Belfast Employment Academy Road Show on Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd January 2020. These free drop-in information sessions will give you the opportunity to find out more about the employment academies, the job opportunities on offer and how to apply.

We would encourage anyone with a disability not already working with a support organisation to make contact with our Job Match Supported Employment Officers who can help you. Click here to contact your local Support Employment Officer for more information.

Employment Academies are open to anyone living in the Belfast City Council area currently out of work or working less than 16 hours a week. No previous experience or training is required. Preference will be given to those who are economically inactive or long-term unemployed.

Employment Academies are aimed at people who do not have the experience or qualifications normally required in the specific sector; as academies will provide the relevant training, licenses, qualifications needed. Unless otherwise stated, everyone who successfully completes is guaranteed an interview with at least one employer who is currently recruiting.
