We undertake assessments on behalf of Driver Vehicle Agency (DVA), Motability and for private clients.  There are 3 different types of assessments

  • Driving Assessments
  • Motability Managed Assessment Programme
  • Passenger Assessment

 Driving Assessment

  • Basic visual testing to ensure that the legal visual standards for driving are met. Before attending for an assessment, it is recommended that you have your eyesight checked to ensure your vision meets the legal standards for driving.
  • Areas such as braking, steering, power and reaction times will be measured during the on road drive.
  • An on road driving assessment lasting approximately 30-40 minutes over a distance of approximately 10 miles consisting of varying road and traffic conditions, road junctions, roundabouts and traffic lights.  The assessor will give verbal instruction throughout the drive (the route cannot be discussed prior to the assessment as following verbal instruction and directional signs form part of the fitness to drive assessment).
