Training Provider

Disability Action has support workers based in offices in Belfast, Derry and Dungannon and we can provide quality support to trainees with disabilities on Training for Success across Northern Ireland.  The support workers offer a comprehensive package of support to meet the individual needs of disabled trainees.

The support worker can offer disabled trainees help with:

  • Transition from school to Training Provider
  • Advice and support with Social Security benefits
  • Health and personal issues
  • Work placement
  • Exit options on leaving training

The support worker can offer Training Providers help and advice on issues such as:

  • Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Special Educational Needs and Disability Order (SENDO)
  • Best practice
  • Disability Awareness Raising
  • Liaison with parents/carers and relevant professionals
