What Support Can We Give

Disability Action can support trainees placed throughout N.Ireland, so where ever you live there will be someone close by who can help you while you are on the Training for Success programme.

The support worker will help you in your move from school to training.  Other ways your support worker can help are:

  • Help you sort out your Social Security benefits and talk to your parent/guardian about this
  • Help you settle into your new Training Organisation
  • Support you if you have worries or problems
  • Support you when you are on placement with an employer
  • Help you with any learning needs you might have in the classroom
  • Help you make decisions about what you might do at the end of your training

If you do not have a support worker from Disability Action and think you might need one, you can contact us by phone or email and someone will give you advice.
