We are currently looking for disabled people and carers to be part of a Disability Housing Design Panel. The Panel will bring together Northern Ireland Housing Executive staff, people with disabilities, professionals and manufacturers.
The panel will gather information on a range of products/adaptations and housing design. Initially the panel is seeking your views on showers. You do not need to have any technical knowledge; we just want your experience!
To tell us your story about showers please visit the Take Part webpage and complete the shower form.
What will be done with the information?
The information we gather will be used to report to the NIHE and shower manufacturers in order to influence shower specifications, adaptations and housing design.
Earlier this year a similar Group was piloted (The Products Working Group (PWG)). The PWG was made up of disabled people, carers and professionals and successfully persuaded manufacturers to take on board recommendations and make changes to showers.
