Disability Exhibition 2010

Disability Exhibition 2010 is a bi-annual exhibition for people with disabilities, families, carers and healthcare professtionals.

 

This years exhibition is being organised in conjuntion with Ability NI, Northern Ireland's first disability magazine. The event will take place on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th June 2010 at Lagan Valley Leisureplex in Lisburn.

The exhibition is the largest disability exhibition in Northern and showcases a wide range of products and services for people with disabilities.

 

Disability Action's Centre on Human Rights for People with Disabilities will also deliver a seminar on Friday 4th June at 2pm at the Disability Exhibition entitled 'A person with a disability-a person with human rights'. This will outline what the new United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities means for people with disabilities living in Northern Ireland. Entertainment will be available for children so the event promises to be not only informative but also a fun day out for all the family.

Some of the feedback from the 2008 show

100% of visitors would visit the exhibition again
89% of visitors got the information they required from the show
65% of visitors said they would make a purchase from someone who exhibited at the show

 

The exhibition is open from 10am-5pm on Friday 4 June and Saturday 5 June and is free of charge.
