Ensuring your Communications are Accessible for People with Disabilities

This training will be from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm on the 17 February 2010 in Disability Action, Belfast.


Training consists of a 6 hour training programme

Aim:

To Encourage good practice in accessible communications provisions for people with disabilities.

Outcomes:

1. Participants will have a better understanding of the importance of accessible communications
2. Increase knowledge of different types of communications and accessible formats
3. Show how to make communications more accessible for people with disabilities
4. Explore the practical steps needed to build an accessible communications strategy and how you can deliver this across the business functions of your organisation

We use a variety of training methods to make our training programmes as interactive as possible. These include DVDs, quizzes, handouts, groups work and case studies. Each participant receives training materials for the session as well as reference materials for future use.

All our training is based on a business case that believes that believes that making your communications accessible, regardless of disability and expanding your customer base can only be good for business. We would like to help you in achieving this positive change.
