Diversity Works is part financed by the ESF under the Northern Ireland EQUAL Community Initiative.

Our Aims and Objectives
Diversity Works aims to:
Develop a diversity management process that fits easily within existing local, national and European quality management excellence models, for use in different employment sectors in Northern Ireland.

The objectives of the programme are to:
1. Explore the use of diversity management processes in Northern Ireland gathering examples of good practice.
2. Research multiple identity (belonging to more than one community of interest), long term unemployment and their relationship with the needs of employers.
3. Develop and pilot a diversity management process with a SME, a statutory body and a community / voluntary sector organisation.
4. Disseminate innovative practices, processes and programme outcomes.
5. Work within a transnational partnership on the usage of diversity management processes in Europe and their potential transferability.

The European Partnership
Diversity Works is also the secretariat to a European Partnership 'Management of Diversity in Europe' (MODE).

MODE aims to:
Promote the economic inclusion of a range of marginalised groups by the groups themselves exploring diversity management practice in three EU countries.

The objectives of the partnership are:
1. to pilot innovative methods of including disadvantaged people in the process and in the labour market
2. to gather examples of good practice, develop quality indicators
and produce a number of related publications
3. to organise exchange visits for staff and employers
4. to disseminate the information gained from our experiences

MODE is a partnership of three EQUAL programmes lead by Diversity Works. The other partners are:
