As part of our work to influence policy and legal developments, the Centre on Human Rights produces policy papers on issues of relevance to our work. The Centre frequently responds to consultations from Government and submits evidence and reports to various international human rights committees on the situation of people with disabilities in Northern Ireland.
The Centre also undertakes and commissions research in order to add to the body of knowledge about disability and human rights issues and to ensure that our work is evidence based.
The Centre is currently undertaking research on the human rights of people with disabilities in Northern Ireland in light of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
