If you are a person with a disability, a family member or friend of a disabled person, an advocate or a representative of a disability organization, or perhaps you just have an interest in the human rights of people with disabilities, there are a number of ways you can get involved:
Understanding your rights
If you are a person with a disability, a family member or friend of a disabled person, an advocate or a representative of a disability organisation, it is important that you understand the rights of a person with a disability and how the Convention may be used as a tool to enable you and others to achieve these rights. You can take part in accredited training on Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
