Disability Action (NI) is a registered charity (Charity Reference No. NIC100004), a voluntary organization and a company limited by guarantee, (Company No. 19258).  Our head office is located in Belfast but we also have offices in Carrickfergus, Derry~Londonderry and Dungannon.

Disability Action’s Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic governance of the organisation.  It meets approximately 6 times per year.

The Board comprises of a minimum of 8 and no more than 12 Directors.  They are nominated by our member organisations and elected at the AGM.  Board of Directors serve for a period of 10 years.  However a third of Directors must stand for re-election at each AGM.

The positions of Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer are elected at the first formal meeting of the Board of Directors following the Annual General Meeting.  Although it is not a requirement of our Constitution, traditionally the majority of Board Members have been people with disabilities.

Disability Action also has two subsidiary companies, Disability Action (NI) Employment & Trainingand Disability Action Tradeable Services LTD, which houses a number of our projects.

We have a small Senior Management Team comprising the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive and a number of Assistant Directors.  A list of the management team members can be found in the Management Team section.
